Travel Medicine
& Vaccinations
When planning travel to Africa, India, China, Southeast Asia,
Mexico, South and Central America, the tropics and other destinations,
it is important to discuss travel vaccines
that may be required.
Stein Medical Clinic believes in preventative medicine (and lots
and lots of vacations!). Whether traveling for pleasure or business,
it is important to understand which illnesses are unique to different
countries. Be aware that certain travel requires a number of vaccines,
and therefore it is essential to consult with a physician several
weeks prior to your departure date. Most medicines and travel
vaccines are available on site at our downtown Vancouver Medical
Clinic.
Post travel sickness such as nausea, pain, diarrhea, rashes,
insect bites, fever, and malaria, can be diagnosed and treated
by our Vancouver medical clinic physicians. If necessary, referral
can be made to specialists such as the Infectious Disease and
Tropical Medicine departments at Vancouver General Hospital.
